It All Begins Here

What a sweet tribute from my oldest daughter.

I was recently looking for a notebook to make some notes in preparation for a upcoming speaking engagement. I remembered seeing several spiral bound notebooks under my bed of all places, so I headed there to find one.

Last week we celebrated child #5, Dekker, turning the “Big 7” -  and we threw a party!

Last week was one I’d rather not repeat. Ever.

Powerless doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt as we lost our sweet dog Ava who was almost 12 years old.

I recently overheard someone asking my teenage daughter the ages of her siblings. Her answer caused me to reflect on the reality of my crazy life.

Have you ever had to trust God for something big, really big? So Big, in fact you call it a miracle? When you look at it you might even be tempted to think that it was so impossible, why even ask?

The year is quickly coming to an end. If you’re like me, most of this week will be spent reflecting on what you loved about 2015. And a large part of it will be spent focusing on what you’d like to do differently in 2016.

December has been quite a month of reflection for me. I turned 47, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and we’re in one of the hardest financial struggles of our marriage.

As I am writing this post, I am teary eyed. I'm sitting in a quiet hotel room in Atlanta, Georgia realizing that God really is putting together this ministry - A Walk With God.
